Solution for HackShield Update Error (0x30000030) that prevent MapleStory Access

How to fix HackShield Update Error 0x30000030


You have failed to access and update server. Please try again later or check the network status.

1st Method: Newbie (Temporary Fix)


1. Go to your Maple Installation Folder and double-click “ASPLnchr.exe”
2. Run MapleStory.exe

2nd Method: Expert (Recommended)


1. Edit the “hosts” file using notepad:
c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

2. Please add this to your Hosts File at the bottom:
121.52.204.250 hackshield.maplesea.com

3. Save file.

4. Open MapleStory as normal and enjoy it.

    SpaceArmy you are a freakin genius >_> I forgot while I’d been at my gf’s I switched my IE to work offline and didn’t reactivate it because I always use google chrome.. your post reminded me and now everything works perfectly, thankyou xD <3

    Jonathan when i try to do that it says unable to run because V3Hunt.dll was not found when i have V3Hunt in my Hsheild folder

    Hello)
    I had this problem and i’ve tried lots of methods, but nothing worked((

    But i fixed it!

    The problem is that something happened with your routes, because of viruses ofc)
    SO!
    Open cmd window in Start Menu, then type ‘route -f’ (without quotes and with Space) there and press Enter. Then reboot your PC and start your game)
    It must be fixed)

    Hey guys i found out how to fix this no joke!!!! I’ve been trying for days but i accidentaly fixed it. This is probably for windows 7. Go to maplestory folder then Hshield folder then find HSUpdate. Run HSUpdate as admin and let it run through. Then start maple from the website again it should not have error anymore!!!. Because error says its update prob and i solved alot of problems from running things as admin. So i found the hsupdate then run as admin and it works now!!!:::DDDDDD
    hopefully it solves all your guys’s problems

    I am a regular person trying to get into maplestory as i played it last year. i guess this happened when the update took place. i have no idea what you guys are talking about! harddrive? whats that? and i have no hosts file and no installation folder. all i have is two versions of maplestory underneath the Nexon folder! nothing else. Please help me!!!!!

    I got simple solution to this problem…
    this problem usually happen when we got Modzilla Firefox n IE..
    maple will follow IE connection so if u set IE as offline so it goes to maple as well..

    as solution u open IE n connect it to the internet..maybe when u open IE it will said ur browser work in offline mode..simply go to other website example go to yahoo.com n IE will ask u to stay offline or connect..press connect n wait till IE connect to the website..after that open ur maple n enjoy …

    Hi I don’t exactly know what the eror number is.
    The problem is that maple story works when the user on the computer is an administrator but not when it’s a regular user.
    How do I fix that?

    er. well i go to the host file .when i open it ,it already have something wrote inside ..like teaching us how to type (121.52.204.250 hackshield.maplesea.com),, then should i open a new then only write the 121.52…….hacksheild .if not need then when i type at the bottom when i type this 121.52.204.250 need to space or not need then only continue write hacksheild……. PLs help me just got hack then ply a few day meet such problem so dissapointed TT no solving method on internet sad and i found here have same thing as i have so…..End ^^ pls help love maple <3…

    I ran Maplesea and the Ahnlab Hackshield appeared but it stops loading and after like 15 mins, it says: Hackshield Update Error (0x3000030): failed to access update server.
