Each skill listed below has advices/tips shared by senior players to guide you in building your character!

One that you want to take, and one that you have to take depending on the skills you acquire first. At this point, we do not know how difficult it is to attain all the skill books that unlock each skill, so keep that in mind before you follow our recommended build.

Reason for this build
Right at 120, there are tons of new skills that Corsairs will want to try out (i.e. Battleship, Cannon). One point on Amplification is useful for it’s +1 second of freeze, one point in Air Strike for its destructive attack power and range, and one point in Support Octo for some extra atk and duration. After that, Battleship, Cannon, and Torpedo are all available to you. BattleShip is kept at Level 1 as it has the lowest cooldown time.

BattleShip cannon is maxed first since it pumps more damage compare to Rapid Fire. If your battleship is destroyed, you can’t use this skill. To protect your battleship, you need to avoid your battleship from getting hit by using Ice Splitter (freeze monster) and de-mount from BattleShip if you were to travel to the next monster to avoid monsters bumping against your battleship.

Air Strike is maxed after BattleShip cannon as it is the 2nd best raw damage dealer in Corsair Skill.
Rapid Fire ix maxed after Air Strike to replace BattleShip cannon when its in cooldown mode.
Bullseye (Advanced Homing) is maxed to boost your damage by 20% (max level). Great for bossing!
Elemental Boost is maxed after Bullseye to enhance FlameThrower and IceSplitter effect and damage.
Wrath of the Octopi is max later to improve Summon Octopus skill to deal more damage, and units.

elemental-boost Elemental Boost / Element Amplification
Increases the potency of Flamethrower and Ice Splitter. Max Amp offers a 200% damage increase for the elemental attacks, which totals to 300% of each skill’s original dmg. It also increases the freeze duration for Ice Splitter by 2 seconds when Elemental Boost is at max level.

An additional octopus is summoned, increasing the fire rate and the damage. It drastically increases octo’s atk [from 200 to 500] and allows you to have 3 octos out at a time instead of the previous 2.

air-strike Air Strike
Uses the grenade attack of Gaviota to damage up to 6 monsters. Air Strike comes after the initial Cannon-based moves because it’s a Corsair’s strongest skill in terms of raw damage. It’s a full-screen attack that hits 6 monsters and can easily break 30k damage. We’ve both seen very high-level Corsairs hitting as high as 80,000 damage with it, even. The only downside is that it has a 5 second cooldown.

battleship Battleship
Battleship is a unique skill, it acts like a mount. You can hop on board of the pirate ship to attack and then de-mount it to use your other skills. Only when you take an “excessive” amount of damage will it “break”, and prevent you from using Battleship for the given cooldown time.

It has been discovered recently that Ship’s HP is dependent on both Battleship SP and character level. In short, 1 level of SP = 4k ship HP, every level up after 120 adds another 2k HP to ship’s durability. For example, at level 121 (2K HP) with level 1 battleship (4k HP), you will have 6k HP.
It is best to keep battleship at level 1 for it’s low cooldown time. Higher level Ship increases cooldown.

The common strategy used by most high-level KMS Corsairs is as follows:
Ice Splitter -> mount battleship -> cannon-> de-mount -> Dash/ride mount to the next mob.
Ice Splitter Effect and immediate de-mounting are done to prevent further damage to yourself and your ship. Cannon, contrary to what people think, pumps out much more DPS than Rapid Fire can. High-level gunslingers can 1 HKO (one hit knockout) Skeles with Cannon, and the attack has impressive speed as well.

battleship-torpedo Battleship Torpedo
Fires a sturdy cannon that goes through monsters. Only available when aboard with Battleship. We’ve recently found out that the FlameThrower+IceSplitter combo is much more effective than Torpedo. Boarding the Ship already makes you much less mobile, so by mobbing with Flame+Ice instead, you take less damage to the ship and do comparable damage. Also factor in how there aren’t a lot of ice- or fire-resistant monsters you’re going to be training on, how Torpedo is noticeably slower than the B+C combo by ~23 shots per minute.

Applies more damage to monsters under the effect of Homing Beacon. Bullseye (Advanced Homing) comes next because of its tremendous damage boost, used mainly during bossing [+20% damage per hit = win].     Hey,

    Very nice guide but ill do it like this:
    First put some points in Cannon and after just do 1Rf and 1octo because u wot use air trike many times (im corsair already and its GREAT!!!!).
    Just do what u want or follow this guide. You have to make ur own control.

    Hey, i would just ask. Is it even good 2 be strless?. Or is it 100% best to be reg ? . like lvl = str . And then all other dex? . Why and why not?
