Walk until the end of the path and enter the portal to defeat the wiseman’s dark side to obtain the Black Charm. Return to “Dances with Balrog” and exchange the Black Charm for a Necklace of Strength. Return to El Nath after that and give the item to Tylus. Head on to the Holy Ground at the Snowfield (Sharp Cliff II). 1 Dark Crystal is requirred to answer 5 questions to obtain the Necklace of Wisdom. Again, head back to Tylus in El Nath and give him the Necklace of Wisdom.

How to read this skill build? 16 – 18 means Level 16, 17 and 18 [Level 16 to 18]. For 20 – 20, it means only Level 20. The guide below is purely a personal recommendation and need not be followed. Each skill listed below has advices/tips shared by senior players to guide you in building your character!

Pearl of Knowledge:
Dragon Knight have some new skills at 3rd Job compare to Crusader and White Knight who still are stuck with their Power Strike and Slash Blast. However, this isn’t a good news since Dragon Knight would be using their 3rd Job Core skills till 4th Job. Most of the skills found in 3rd Job are mobbing types, which means it hits many monsters in 1 strike.

Below is the hierarchy order of Pirate advancement: [Warrior Main Page]
Pirate -> Gunslinger -> Vaklyrie (Outlaw) -> Captain (Corsair)
Pirate -> Infighter (Brawler) -> Buccaneer (Marauder) -> Viper (Buccaneer)

Hybrid Dragon Knight (Recommended Build)
This is SeaBlue’s Hybrid Dragon Knight Build for Hybrid Spearman
70 – 70 : Elemental Resistance 1
71 – 80 : Dragon Buster Spear 3 [MAX]
81 – 90 : Dragon Fury Polearm 3 [MAX]
91 – 96 : Dragon Blood 3
97 – 97 : Dragon Blood 2 [MAX], Elemental Resistance 1
098 – 103 : Elemental Resistance 3 [MAX]
104 – 104 : Sacrifice 3
105 – 114 : Dragon Roar 3 [MAX]
115 – 120 : Power Crush 3
Summary – Total 151 SP
Dragon Buster Spear 30 [MAX], Dragon Fury Pole Arm 30 [MAX] / Dragon Blood 20 [MAX]
Dragon Roar 30 [MAX] / Elemental Resistance 20 [MAX] / Sacrifice 3 / Power Crush 18
Reasons for this Build:
(Quote from SeaBlue) This 1 SP adds 12% resistance against fire, cold , lightining & poison. Incredibly useful at level 1. After this you should max your main attack skill from level 70 till 120, Buster (Spear). Important note, Buster (Spear) deals a much higher average damage than Buster (Pole Arm) because of the forced stab motion This is the reason why i suggest Buster (Spear). Now its time to max your main multiple target attacking skill from level 70 til 120, Dragon Fury (Pole Arm). Dragon Fury (Pole Arm) deals a much higher average damage than Dragon Fury (Spear) bacause of the forced swing motion. This is the reason why i suggest Dragon Fury (Pole Arm). And by now you should be able to know why i suggest a hybird build for Spearman ^_^ Now its time to increase your basic damage by learning Dragon Blood, maxing it makes your weapon attack +12!! Anyway there is an option to max Dragon Blood 1st before maxing Dragon Buster. Elemental Resistance should be learn now as at this level the mobs u faced all deals enormous mount of magic damage. Finally its time for the fanciful skill, Dragon Roar!! This is the last atacking skill to be max as it is not that useful on the average, contary to what most of the Spearman now believe. You are left with 18 SP before you reach level 120, distribute them into Sacrifice or Power Crush according to your liking, but at least 10 SP (or more) must be in Power Crush (for dearest Zakum and other mobs with power up skills). But i strongly beleive that Power Crush is much more useful than Sacrifice.

71 – 80 : Spear Buster 3 [MAX]
81 – 86 : Dragon Blood 3
87 – 87 : Dragon Blood 2 [MAX], Element Resistance 1
88 – 89 : Element Resistance 3
90 – 90 : Element Resistance 2, Sarifice 1
91 – 91 : Sarifice 2, Dragon Roar 1
092 – 100 : Dragon Roar 3 [MAX]
101 – 101 : Dragon Roar 2, Element Resistance 1
102 – 104 : Element Resistance 3 [MAX]
105 – 114 : Dragon Fury Spear 3 [MAX]
115 – 120 : Power Crush 3
Summary – Total 151 SP
Dragon Roar 30 [MAX] / Dragon Fury Spear 30 [MAX] / Element Resistance 20 [MAX]
Power Crush 18 / Spear Buster 30 [MAX] / Sacrifice 3
Reasons for this build:
Sacrifice skill uses force swing animation which deals very little damage when equipped with spear. So this skill is left out for this spear build. Since this build is about spear, Dragon Fury Spear is selected instead of Dragon Fury Polearm. Dragon Fury Spear is added to lure monster for mobbing and attack using your primary skill Spear Buster.

81 – 86 : Dragon Blood 3
87 – 87 : Dragon Blood 2 [MAX], Element Resistance 1

105 – 113 : Sacrifice 3 [MAX]
114 – 119 : Power Crush 3
120 – 120 : Free 3 SP (Skill Points)
Summary – Total 151 SP
Dragon Roar 30 [MAX] / Dragon Fury Polearm 30 [MAX] / Element Resistance 20 [MAX]
Power Crush 18 / Spear-Polearm Buster 0 / Sacrifice 30 [MAX]
Reasons for this build:
Since Sacrifice and Dragon Fury Polearm deals more damage than Polearm Buster/Crusher while equipped with Polearm, its best to leave out Polearm Buster (the 3 hit on 1 monster)

spear-crusherpole-arm-crusherSpear Crusher / Polearm Crusher (more info)
Attack the enemy several times with the spear (spear crusher) or polearm (polearm crusher). This skill is best for spear since its force stab animation instead of swing. Spear deals more damage than polearm in stab attack. This skill is useful against 1 v 1 compare to Dragon Fury.

dragon-fury-spear1dragon-fury-pole-armDragon Fury Spear / Dragon Fury Pole Arm (more info)
Attack multiple enemies by swinging the pole arm (dragon fury polearm) or spear (dragon fury spear). This skill is best for polearm since its force swing animation instead of stab. Polearm deals more damage than spear in swing attack. This skill is useful against mob on non-flat and flat platforms. Has larger range compare to Spear Buster and its easier to lure mobs with this skill. This skill can reach Zakum Hand (located very far that Spear Buster could not reach!)

dragon-bloodDragon Blood (more info)
Attack with Increased Damage, but HP slowly decreased. Does not stack with Fighter’s Rage (2nd Job Skill) and temporary weapon attack booster from potions. Apart from that, it does not stack weapon attack with Beholder Weapon Attack Buff (Spearman 4th Job Skill). This skill is useful if you do not want to be dependant on Fighter’s Rage Party Skill or do not like to spend extra potions on weapon attack booster.

haha!!! Dragon Blood skill is more expensive than weapon booster skill!!! it is wrong to say, Dragon Blood is cheaper!!!
but there are pro and cons about Dragon Blood compared to weapon attack booster.
Pro: Dragon Blood is atk up while weapon attack is spd up.
Cons: dragon blood may be better but will require more potions.

I think that pole arm buster should be maxed because Dragon Blood=useless skill because I agree with what David said.

I think dragon blood is a useless skill. The warrior elixirs from NLC give 12 WA. The 20 SP can be put to better use. I find dragon fury spear to be quite useful evn though its forced swing animation. It allows you to mob better. Power crush at level 8 seems fine to me. 50% means you’d probably at most have to cast it three times if you were unlucky.

I’m confused now because SasukeIIV said to go for Sacrifice 20 but you said make PC skill go up so now I’m confused. Which skill should I max then?

“Sacrifice skill uses force swing animation which deals very little damage when equipped with spear.”

WRONG. Sacrifice is a very useful skill, well more than Power Crash*, and it does not do a SWING animation, it does both.

Power Crash: COMPLETELY USELESS. Why? Because there is simply no monsters that use Buffs, and if there is, chances are you’re going to be killing them before they do.
So I would rather go 20 Sacrifice instead of PC.
