Again, head back to Arec in El Nath and give him the Necklace of Wisdom.

How to read this skill build? 16 – 18 means Level 16, 17 and 18 [Level 16 to 18]. For 20 – 20, it means only Level 20. The guide below is purely a personal recommendation and need not be followed. Each skill listed below has advices/tips shared by senior players to guide you in building your character!

Pearl of Knowledge:
Chief Bandit has many unique attacking skills such as Assaulter (teleport and attack), Meso Guard (similar to Magic Guard), Meso Bomb (deals the most damage among all 3rd job skills), PickPocket that makes enemy drop meso while being hit and a mob skill, Band of Thieves that speeds up mob training!

Below is the hierarchy order of Pirate advancement: [Thief Main Page]
Pirate -> Gunslinger -> Vaklyrie (Outlaw) -> Captain (Corsair)
Pirate -> Infighter (Brawler) -> Buccaneer (Marauder) -> Viper (Buccaneer)

Band of Thieves 30 [MAX] / Assaulter 30 [MAX] / Pickpocket 20 [MAX] / Meso Explosion 30 [MAX]
Meso Guard 20 [MAX]/ Chakra 20 [MAX] / Shield Mastery [1/20]
Reasons for this Build
According to konggal/lapplegerl (MSEA Bootes Player): BOT build means training at Forest of Golem from lvl 70-90, there the spawn and drop is really good and you can earn lots of mesos there too. For every 6 lvls of BOT, the damage will be highest. I don’t recommend you to use BOT whose level is less than 12, because it is just a waste of MP. Just use SB, the dmg is good anyway. Why pump BOT into lvl 18 only initialy? Because it is not easy to find 5 or 6 MG or other mobs together at the same time. A lvl 18 BOT is enough to sustain you. But AST is a must to max.

Reasons for this Build
According to konggal/lapplegerl (MSEA Bootes Player): AST build means training at coolie, and some people say higher lvl mobs also. [70-90] : Coolie! You can go mixed golem too, but you wont be able to clear as fast as those who pump BOT 1st.Slimey at ghost ship 2. [91- 98] : Parking lot/armoury. Gobbies and pirates are possible too. [99-120] : Sotong! Huge losses in mesos here

Meso Guard 20 [MAX]/ Chakra 20 [MAX] / Shield Mastery [1/20]
Reasons for this Build
According to konggal/lapplegerl (MSEA Bootes Player): ME build is for people who are REALLY REALLY rich, because you are bombing away all your mesos, but it is very very quick leveling, and you can train on ANY high level mobs. [70-74] : Coolie or mixed golem. [75-98] : Anywhere you want. Bains, gobby, vikings, pirates. [99-120] : Sotong! huge losses in mesos here

shield-mastery1Shield Mastery
Increases the def. of the equipped shield. Only works when the shield is equipped. Shield Mastery at max level adds +100% extra weapon defense depending on the weapon defense provided by the shield you have equipped. Assuming that you equipped with 19 weapon defense shield, Shield Mastery makes it 38 weapon defense (+100% increase!). However, most players do not recommend adding any SP (Skill Points) into Shield Mastery as it reduces very little physical damage. Could someone clarify whether this could increase magic defense too?

chakraChakra
Uses MP to recover HP. Only works when the HP is less than 50%, and it’ll stop if either attacked or moved. Chakra is an optional skill. Some prefer not to add SP (Skill Points) into it as they rather consume HP Potion for faster HP Replenishment. Since there are leftover SP, its best to channel them here instead of Shield.

pickpocketPickpocket
Makes the enemy drop mesos for a certain period of time. The amount of mesos dropped depends on the damage and the skill level. Very useful combo with Meso Explosion. For those who are active users of Meso Explosion, max Pick Pocket so you do not need to drop meso often to bomb.

mesos-explosionMesos Explosion
Explodes the mesos dropped on the ground around you to attack monsters. The mesos from the monsters killed by someone else will not be able to be used for this. Great against Bosses (Zakum, Papulatus, Pianus, etc) Since there is 4th Job Advancement, not many people use this skill, because its costly (cost millions of meso to kill a boss). So players rather use their 4th Job skill to deal damage. Pretty useful for funder Chief Bandit players who want to power level in mid 70-90 using Meso Explosion!

lukcy :if max mesos boom can kill boss easy???

it is easy. most of the time bosses wont attack u while ur in dark sight. and each BF only cost 6.5mil if u drop 4444 bags. so its pretty fast lvling if ur funded and max out meso explosion early on

OK the best place for chief bandits are 70-77or78 Justers (at hunted house). Then from 77 or 78 go to typhons (might miss sometimes) train at typhons from 78-110. This is like a place only for Chief bandits and Bowman(because of arrow rain) So, on 2x u might have hard time finding a ch… with Justers everyone Trains there… I would have a Party of a pries, Chief bandit, Good DK, and if u can a bowman..(only at justers). but also good exp solo untill lev 77

@Lucky: Bandits have more attack power than Gunslingers. However, Gunslingers get a higher DPS (damage per second) as they progress in the game, due to their extreme attack speed. Still, with good equipment, Bandits can easily outdamage Gunslingers (because Gunslingers don’t have critical).

Places you can bomb would be at Aqua Road where there are many Bombing Fish House that can’t move.
Use dark sight to get to the center of the bombing fish house, drop meso bags/meso notes, then hit the meso explosion skill button.
    Don’t bomb all at once,
once the bombing fish house explodes, there will be many small fish that pops out.
from there, continue your meso explosion skill while they are in a group.

if max mesos boom can kill boss easy???

yes, but now most people would use their 4th job skill (for bandit, they use assassinate) to kill boss quickly, instead of relying heavily on meso explosion (aka meso bomb)

meso explosion cost lots of money, and also dangerous since boss can attack you with magic attack (bypassing the dark sight)

On one of your guide, you put chakra 20[Max] when it should be Chakra [20/30]
