MapleStory Monster Exp Report (without 2X Exp)

This report is base on 10% Exp Par. How to read this report? Below is a list of monster name with Exp (right), accompanied with player’s level (left). The level indicates the maximum level for a player who could train on those monster gaining at least 10% Exp per hour. (approximately 10 hours per level). This report is useful for player level 30 and above.

MapleStory uses this Exp formula (Level 50 to 200 is 1.0548 Exp increment per level). Each time you level, your Exp To Next Level is multiplied by 1.0548! So to catch up with that, you need to train on higher monster level that provides more than 1.058 Exp. For more details on the 10% Exp concept and the 5-level-rule, read this post. This report is a complement for Monster Encyclopedia 1, Monster Encyclopedia 2 and Monster Encyclopedia 3 and to all training ground guides for warrior | bowman | thief | magician.

The assumption applied here is able to KO a monster within 4 seconds. This duration in seconds consists of walking, hitting, potting, afk-ing and chatting activities. Walk is to approach the monster before you could kill it. Hitting is KO-ing the monster with your weapon, potting refers to consuming potion while training and purchasing from shop, and chatting is what usually players do in MapleStory.

Monster Exp Growth

Below is a list of level and exp. The level located on the left indicates the player’s current level while on the right is the Monster Exp. The monster Exp that you want to train for your level must be higher than that else, you will be training more than 10 hours. (without 2X Exp effect). The formula used here is based MapleStory Exp Growth 1.0548 (from Level 50 – 200). Strangely, MapleStory does not increase monster Exp as fast as the Exp requirement to reach next level. I guess that’s when MapleStory earn money from their loyal customers/players who are high level in MapleStory through 2X Exp Card sales and cash shop items. ^_^

Diary: Duku provides 5000 exp. So, a level 150 player needs to kill at least 3 of these to fullfil the Exp provided below (150 : 15860). That would take 3 times the time. 10 hours x 3 = 30 hours. So 1 day = 10 hours to reach 33%. That’s kinda long and boring… o_o “
