MapleStory Cleric Skills + Skill Build
Title: MapleStory 2nd Job Magician – Cleric Skills, Cleric Skill Build (Skill Allocation) with Explanation!
Requirement: Level 30
Once you’ve reached Lv 30, go back to Ellinia’s Magic Library, which is located at the highest point of Ellinia. Go inside, talk to Grendel the Really Old. He’ll give you a letter and you’ve to pass it to the job advancement instructor located at the north of Ellinia. After giving the letter, you’ll be given an errand to collect 30 Dark Marbles by defeating the monsters inside. Be careful to stock your potions up before you start collecting the 30 Dark Marbles. Once you’ve collected 30 Dark Marbles, talk to the instructor, and he’ll award you with a Proof of a Hero. Go back to Ellinia’s Magic Library, and talk to Grendel the Really Old once again, where then you’ll advance as the Cleric.
How to read this skill build? 16 – 18 means Level 16, 17 and 18 [Level 16 to 18]. For 20 – 20, it means only Level 20. The guide below is purely a personal recommendation and need not be followed. Each skill listed below has advices/tips shared by senior players to guide you in building your character!
Pearl of Knowledge:
Cleric is one of unique class that has the most supportive party skills compare to the rest of the jobs in MapleStory. However, due to its extreme supportive nature, its offensive skill is weaker than its counterparts (Fire/Poison and Ice/Lightning Magician). They are mostly welcome in many parties such as against bosses (Zakum, Horntail, Pink Been) to give support to the team while the rest of the party members do the damage dishing!
Below is the hierarchy order of Pirate advancement: [Magician Main Page]
Pirate -> Gunslinger -> Vaklyrie (Outlaw) -> Captain (Corsair)
Pirate -> Infighter (Brawler) -> Buccaneer (Marauder) -> Viper (Buccaneer)

Heal 30 [MAX] / Teleport 20 [MAX] / MP Eater 20 [MAX] / Bless 20 [MAX] / Invincible 20 [MAX]
Holy Arrow [11/30]
Reason for this Build
Heal is added first so you have a mob skill (offense) against zombies and undead and at the same time have it as a supportive skill to Heal party members. MP Eater is added next to save MP Potion. Every attack siphons mana from monster. Cleric benefits most from zombies since they have these monsters has high MP capacity compare to Fire/Ice/Lightning/Poison weak monster. Teleport is max after MP Eater to speed up training and movement around the map. Once all this 3 core skills are max, you could either pump into Bless/Invincible. Invincible is preferred to reduce physical damage, so your Magic Guard does not burden your MP too much from physical damage received. Bless is useful for other class (such as Warrior) to provide them with additional accuracy. Holy Arrow is not maxed since 3rd Job have Shinning Ray (much more powerful than Holy Arrow and hits mobs).

MP Eater (more info)
Drain enemy’s MP after every magic attack unless enemy MP reaches 0 Mp. Works passively (automatic). Most people recommend to max this skill as it saves you a lot of Mp potions (saves meso) during 2nd and 4th job training. If you see Blue Stars encircling your character, it shows that Mp Eater is activated. Cleric love this skill because undead monsters has the highest Mp compare to other monsters. Mp Eater works on single and multiple-monsters. However, the total Mp drained for a single vs multiple is equivalent.

Heal (more info)
Recovers the HP of all party members around the area. The amount of healing depends on the number of people being healed, and the undead monster in the vicinity of this will receive damage. The amount of Heal depends on how much Magic Attack you have, not the amount of Cleric Max Hp. In short, max heal does NOT mean the amount of Hp recovered equals to 3 x (our own hp).

Teleport (more info)
Use the arrow keys to teleport to other places in the same map on a set distance. Useful to move around within large maps quickly, assist in training (reach to the monster quicker), escape from monster attacks (teleport away). Teleport is able to move you left, right, up and down. It is also required in Ludibrium Party Quest. In short, this skill is recommended to be Max

Bless (more info)
Temporarily increases the weapon def., magic def., accuracy and avoidability of all party members around the area. BUT, it can’t be used if combined with a skill or a potion. Bless is an important party skill as it provides cleric additional +20 avoidability to avoid monster bumps, while all warriors benefits from its additional +20 accuracy to allow them to attack monster without much miss. If you successfuly avoided mob attack, you could use Shinning Ray to attack undead instead of spamming Heal. Does not stack with Magic Armour. Recommended to be max!

Holy Arrow (more info)
Applies major damage to undead and devil-based monsters. It is not recommended to max this skill because Heal skill could attack mob monster faster compare to Holy Arrow that only targets 1 monster at a time. Heal would help your training better in terms of faster Exp. Also there are duplicate skills such as 4th job Angel Ray (that works similar to Holy Arrow) and 3rd job skill (Shinning Ray) that attack mobs with a much more powerful version of Holy Arrow. When you are a Priest, you would be using Shinning Ray more often than Holy Arrow!
